"COMPETENCY" AND "COMPETENCE" AS EVALUATION CRITERIA LEARNING OUTCOMES

The article describes the existing points of view to the definition of the terms competence and competencу. The problem is indicated in the ambiguous understanding of competence and competencу, which often leads to confusion or interchangeability. In the course of

the analysis of the above definitions, similarities and differences between them are established,

expressed in the inclusion in both of these concepts of such basic elements as knowledge, skills

and abilities, but not determined only by their totality. At the same time, the existing differences between competence and competencу are indicated, the rationale for the concepts of

competence and competencу as categories of activity is given.
